(<\/strong>May 20, 2019) \u2013<\/strong> The Board of Directors of the Orange Catholic Foundation has announced the appointment of Suzanne Nunn as interim executive director. Since 2010, Nunn has assisted the board and staff with the identification and cultivation of gifts to the foundation. She has been instrumental in working with the finance and investment committees to promote investment principles rooted in strong Catholic values and operational integrity.\r\n\r\nNunn has worked in both the for-profit and nonprofit philanthropic sectors and has a strong background in the legal and financial professions. She has experience in executive leadership for the YMCA, and nonprofit and planned-giving credentials through the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.\r\n\r\nWhile at the Orange Catholic Foundation, Suzanne has been instrumental in establishing numerous endowments with parishes and schools in the Diocese of Orange. She has helped to grow the wills and trusts annual seminars, encouraging individuals and families to engage Christian stewardship as a way of life.\r\n\r\nAs interim executive director, Nunn will continue to foster legacy giving, while strengthening the importance of asset protection and the status of the Orange Catholic Foundation as an independent 501c3 corporation.\r\n\r\nNunn will lead the foundation with responsibility for the administrative, fundraising, marketing, grant-making and community relations functions, which support all aspects of the Catholic faith in Orange County, California.\r\n\r\nAbout the Orange Catholic Foundation<\/strong>\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nEstablished by Bishop Tod D. Brown in November 2000, the Orange Catholic Foundation is an autonomous pious foundation under canon law and incorporated as a tax-exempt independent charitable corporation under civil law. As a foundation for Catholics, the organization assists families and individuals to leave a legacy of love and faith, uniquely aligned with their Catholic values and beliefs. The foundation plans and conducts major fundraising programs, including the Pastoral Services Appeal, the For Christ Forever Capital Campaign, the Conference on Business & Ethics, the semi-annual Wills and Trusts Weeks and other special fundraising events.
