‘jesus Vr – the Story of Christ’ Is Coming to Christ Cathedral Campus Beginning Nov. 1.

    Garden Grove, Calif., (Oct. 25, 2019) – “Jesus VR – The Story of Christ” is coming to Christ Cathedral Campus beginning Nov. 1.  This immersive film experience was executive produced by Enzo Sisti, a film vet whose credits include “The English Patient” and Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ.” 

    The film was shot entirely in 360° 4K video on location in Matera, Italy, the ancient village that was also the setting for “Passion of the Christ.” Viewers experience an immersive virtual reality film showing the entirety of Jesus’s life and death, from the Nativity to his ascension and everything in between! Guest have the ability to look around in all directions in the scene as if they were there.  Jesus VR is a 60-minute experience made from the 80-minute full film.

    “The viewers truly feel they are there with Jesus and his disciples,” said The Very Reverend Christopher Smith, Rector of the Christ Cathedral Campus. “This is the most powerful story of all time and virtual reality is the perfect way to tell it. I am beyond thrilled this movie experience will be available to our community and visitors on the Christ Cathedral Campus.”

    The Jesus VR experience will take place in the Cathedral Cultural Center on the Christ Cathedral Campus, 13280 Chapman Avenue, Garden Grove, CA 92840. The movie experience begins Nov. 1 and continues through Dec 30, 2019.  Minimum age is 13 years-old and viewers must be able to wear a high-quality headset.  There is an intermission.
