BACKGROUND

I was born in Fountain Valley and raised in Santa Ana. My birthday is April 4, I have two siblings a sister and brother. I attended Segerstrom High School, which happens to be right next to my home parish. The ministry I was most involved in was altar serving.

What are some of the factors that led to your decision to enter the seminary and discern the question of a vocation to the priesthood?

Some factors that led to my decision to discern the priesthood and enter the seminary was people would tell me that I would be a good priest.

Who are some of the people who influenced your decision to enter the seminary? What is it about them that assisted you?

Fr. John Shimotsu, my spiritual director, was the person who influenced me the most. He has been a wonderful role model to look up to, as he help me to discern if I am being called to the priesthood. He drew me to the the priesthood because of his method of practicing his priesthood, he is truly a priest for his flock.

Describe the moment that you knew you wanted to take the next steps to become a priest?

In high school when the time came to apply to colleges and colleges thing of my future, I new that this was something that I had to give a chance so I contacted the vocations director.
