Bishop Vann to Sign Construction Contract for Renovation of Christ Cathedral
Snyder Langston has been chosen to lead phase one of the Christ Cathedral renovation and transformation.
The Most Reverend Kevin Vann, Bishop of Orange will formally sign the construction agreement with the general contractor,
Snyder Langston, who has been selected to complete the renovation of the Christ Cathedral. This multi-year effort to transform the architectural masterpiece designed by acclaimed architect Phillip Johnson and dedicated in 1981 will begin this June and is estimated to be completed in October of 2018 and formally dedicated in early 2019. The partnership between the Roman Catholic Church and great architects and builders reaches back millennia and has given form to the most striking and magnificent structures ever created by human hands. The partnership to be forged with Snyder Langston will make real the inspiring vision of faith and architecture developed over the past two years by the faithful of the Diocese and the professional architects of Johnson Fain and Rios Clementi Hale Studios.
