TOGETHER WE JOURNEY, TOGETHER IN FAITH
A Place
for Everyone
With 58 churches, 5 centers and 36 schools within our diocese, we have a seat for you.
Our vibrant community of 1.3 million Catholics is on a journey of faith together – growing closer to God and another as we explore, experience, and share the mystery of Christ. Under the leadership of Bishop Kevin W. Vann, the OC Diocese works to establish and support dynamic, vibrant parishes and schools welcoming all to live the Gospel with faith, joy, charity and unity. We joyfully welcome you as part of this journey!

"I AM" Eucharistic Congress 2025
God, present in the crashing waves — this is the gift of the Incarnation. Not distant or abstract, but the Maker of the universe, dwelling among the broken, shining light into darkness. Through His Cross, Resurrection, and Altar, hope is more than a sentiment—it changes how we live.
The light of hope is calling — let it in. Join us for the 2025 “I AM” Eucharistic Conference on October 17-18 at Christ Cathedral!

Noche de Altares 2025
Join us on Friday, October 25 and be part of a vibrant celebration of heritage and remembrance. This event celebrates Día de Los Muertos, honoring our loved ones who have passed through art, culture, and community. Ministries from across Orange County will create altars to remember their parents, siblings, and friends. Enjoy cultural performances, a beer garden, live music, pop-up vendors, and children’s activities like a trackless train and trunk-or-treating.

The Jubilee Year of Hope
Pope Francis had declared 2025 the Jubilee Year of Hope (“Hope does not disappoint”), a sacred time to visit holy sites, perform acts of kindness, seek forgiveness for sins, and renew their relationship with God, one another, and creation.

Fr. Ian's Homilies: "Murky Waters"
“And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, [Jesus] interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself” (Luke 24.27)—and in doing so, Jesus shows us that the scriptures are about Himself. Convicted by this truth, Fr. Ian preaches every weekend the mystery of Christ as revealed in the Sunday readings. It is Jesus who we seek—and in these homilies, Fr. Ian hopes to provide a glimpse of Him. Father Ian is a Roman Catholic Priest serving at Christ Cathedral in the Diocese of Orange in California.

Empowered by the Spirit: "The Shroud Experience!"
Deacon Steve Greco is a permanent deacon for the Diocese of Orange. He is also the head of Evangelization and Faith Formation for the Diocese. In this podcast episode, Deacon Steve and his co-host Katie Hughes welcome some special guests (Pat Powers and Terry McGuaghan) to talk about the incredible new Shroud of Turin Immersive Exhibit opening in November (2025) at Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove.
The museum will take up about 10,000 square feet of the Christ Cathedral’s Richard H. Pickup Cultural Center because the exhibit will feature a series of 360-degree theater rooms, interactive displays and other exhibits on “one of the world’s most studied artifacts,” believed to be the burial shroud of Jesus Christ, diocese officials said. Tune in for this fascinating conversation!
