We joyfully welcome you as part of this journey!

Entering the Jubilee Year of Hope
Pope Francis has declared 2025 the Jubilee Year of Hope (“Hope does not disappoint”), a sacred time to visit holy sites, perform acts of kindness, seek forgiveness for sins, and renew their relationship with God, one another, and creation.

Visit the St. Callistus Chapel and Crypts
The final phase of Christ Cathedral’s transformation has been completed with the opening of the St. Callistus Chapel and Crypts! The chapel is named in honor of the original St. Callistus parish, which moved to Christ Cathedral when the property was acquired by the diocese.
The Romano-Byzantine-style chapel, located beneath Christ Cathedral, was blessed and dedicated on October 14, the feast day of St. Callistus I. The chapel and crypts is now open to the public. Book a tour at the link below!

Fr. Ian's Homilies: "Leaving Our Cracked Cisterns Behind"
“And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, [Jesus] interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself” (Luke 24.27)—and in doing so, Jesus shows us that the scriptures are about Himself. Convicted by this truth, Fr. Ian preaches every weekend the mystery of Christ as revealed in the Sunday readings. It is Jesus who we seek—and in these homilies, Fr. Ian hopes to provide a glimpse of Him. Father Ian is a Roman Catholic Priest serving at Christ Cathedral in the Diocese of Orange in California.

Cathedral Square: Inspirational Catholic Women of Our Diocese
In this episode of Cathedral Square, Fr. Christopher Smith is delighted to welcome a dear friend to the studio, Karen Castro. Karen has ministered in our diocese in so many profound ways over the years. Most notably, she has served as the chairwoman of the Inspirational Catholic Woman event. This annual experience is put on by the Catholic Charities Auxiliary, a group that supports Catholic Charities of Orange County through outreach, fundraising and community service.
Each year they hold a benefit dinner that serves as a fundraiser for New Hope Counseling Services, which provides mental health programs at several diocesan elementary schools. Funds also support the Cantlay Food Distribution Center, which serves thousands of families and individuals in need all over the OC. Listen, learn, and SHARE this podcast!
