Pope Francis officially announced the Jubilee Year on May 9, 2024, through the Bull of Indiction, Spes non confundit (Hope Does Not Disappoint). This Jubilee Year will span from December 24, 2024, to January 6, 2026.

  The Diocesan Opening of the Jubilee Year will take place on Sunday, December 29, 2024, the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, at Christ Cathedral with a Solemn Mass at 9:00 a.m. This date was chosen by the Holy Father for dioceses worldwide. All priests are encouraged to concelebrate, and the faithful, institutions, and religious communities are warmly invited to attend as pilgrims of hope.
