Ministry certification equips the baptized to fulfill the call of God on their life in a role of service to the community. By responding to the various needs within a parish, we live out our baptismal call and extend the Church’s impact within the parish and the community. From Liturgy ministries to mental health, and many areas in between, there are a variety of options for those wanting to serve the Church more intentionally.
For those interested, the following Lay Ministry Certifications are available through the Institute:

Within the Lumen Christi Institute, there are four paths that aim to equip and encourage the faithful to take their place within the mission of Christ.
Catholic Biblical Institute
When we study the Bible, we meet Christ in a new, transformative way. The Catholic Biblical Institute provides opportunities for anyone to study scripture and apply the story of Christ in everyday life.
Certifications
Ministry certification equips the baptized to fulfill the call of God on their life in a role of service to the community. Lumen Christi offers certifications in various ministries such as catechesis (for volunteers and Catholic school teachers), liturgical roles, OCIA and others.
Workshops
Workshops are offered intermittently on various topics to provide in depth information and skills training (for example Mental Health training or Street Evangelization Training)
Evangelize Now Conference
Lumen Christi provides an annual conference on the third Saturday of October every year. The Evangelize Now Conference provides inspiration and skills for attendees to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to their families, friends, neighborhoods and communities.
School of Evangelization
The School of Evangelization is an initiative dedicated to equipping the faithful with the knowledge, skills, and passion to share the Gospel in their Parish communities. Our comprehensive program offers a dynamic and transformative journey for those eager to deepen their faith and become effective evangelizers.
