Renowned Organist to Perform at Christ Cathedral
Todd Wilson concert launches winter music season at the historic Arboretum.
Garden Grove, Calif. (November 7, 2018) – Renowned musician Todd Wilson, the classically trained organist who has enthralled audiences across the globe for more than a decade with renditions of beloved organ pieces and original special arrangements, will be performing at the Christ Cathedral Campus.
The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 at the Arboretum. Wilson will be performing organ works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Franck, Litaize, Duruflé and Widor.
Wilson serves as head of the Organ Department at The Cleveland Institute of Music, director of music at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Cleveland and is the curator of the E.M. Skinner pipe organ at Severance Hall, home of The Cleveland Orchestra.
At the Arboretum, Wilson will be performing on the cathedral’s famed “Frederick Swann” Organ.
“Todd Wilson is considered among the finest concert organists in the world,” said Lauren McCaul, Christ Cathedral Music administrator. “His performance at the Arboretum will entertain and inspire audiences of all ages. We are honored to have him perform on the Christ Cathedral Campus.”
Wilson has performed major concerts across the globe, including Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, Westminster Abbey in London, St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

Wilson’s concert at the Arboretum kicks off a winter music season at the Christ Cathedral campus that will be highlighted with a performance of classic Christmas carols and Vivaldi’s “Gloria” by the English, Spanish and Vietnamese Christ Cathedral Choirs. Led by famed conductor, organist and Christ Cathedral Director of Music Ministries Dr. John Romeri, the choirs will feature guest tenor Cesar Sanchez, and be accompanied by a full orchestra along with the “Frederick Swann” Organ.
The concert will be held at the Arboretum at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 14.
